Greg Azus created On Stage Hawaii in 1983 as a
clothing store selling musician merchandise including
spandex pants to leather accessories. After 6 months he
was approached by Jack Law, owner of nightclub The
Wave, about taking over his store adjacent to the club.
Soon after, the store became an instant success. On
Stage Hawaii remained there for over 10 years.
At the same time in 1984 Greg started his own entertainment publication entitled On Stage Hawaii. It first started out as a 12-page Black and White monthly newspaper.
In this way it was on press for almost two years. It was then
sold and became a 24-page four color publication with Island wide distribution. On Stage Hawaii was then resurrected in 2002 by Greg venturing into the concert promotions business. This all started with his first act brought to the Islands, Tommy Chong.
